The world of debt relief
Chapter 4: Licensed Insolvency Trustee versus your other options
Bromwich+Smith team
04 Apr, 2025
You’ve decided to get help with your debt and are weighing your options. Now what? How do you decide?
There are a lot of options out there and they are not all created equal. You may (or may have already) experienced fast talking salespeople who use fear-based tactics and high-pressure timelines to bombard you with an ‘act now’ attitude.
You’re already stressed enough. How is fear going to help you make the right decision? Well, a lot of options out there don’t want you to make the right decision; they want you to buy their product or service.
A Licensed Insolvency Trustee (LIT) will help you, not sell to you. An LIT is regulated by the government and will go through all of the options available to you. All of them. Even the option of not doing anything (which comes with a long list of consequences). Your consultation with Bromwich+Smith won’t cost you anything and you are not obligated to decide right then and there. In fact, we want you to take time to review all of your options before deciding as the decision to file for insolvency is an important one to make.
Bromwich+Smith is a much better option than the predatory interest rates of payday loans or the ‘take on more debt to eliminate your debt’ contradiction of consolidation loans.
You wouldn’t try to navigate a complex legal situation without the help of a lawyer. You wouldn’t take on a complicated construction project without blueprints. An LIT will help you navigate the complexities of debt relief while also building the blueprint for your plan.
Unfortunately, there is no magic button, no quick fix to debt relief. Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply selling you something. It is a complex process but using Bromwich+Smith is worth it.
