Let’s face it: of all the things that people talk about in day-to-day life, debt and money are NOT at the top of the list. For some of us, we were brought up not to talk about money, and for others, money (or lack of it) is synonymous with embarrassment or shame.
Whatever your money story is, know that NOT talking about money disempowers us from getting the information necessary to make good financial decisions. And good financial decisions are crucial to saving, getting out of debt, or achieving financial goals. While debt can come from unexpected life circumstances, there are ways to make the most of where you’re at financially. Every piece of knowledge you gain will help you on your journey, and we’re here for that!
In the spirit of keeping the conversation going, we’ll be continuing our Debt Real Talk Live series on Instagram in the fall. Through conversations with financial experts, we openly discuss financial wellness, literacy, and empowerment. No more money talks behind closed doors!
Below we give you a peak at the highlights from last year’s conversations. Stay tuned for another great round up of financial experts.
